Implementing medical devices for accurate and continuous non-contact patient monitoring of respiratory rate is therefore of great importance for patient safety. EloCare M50 is a miniaturized radar-based breath sensor (approximately the size of a smoke detector) that continuously collects data on patients’ respiratory activity from its ceiling-mounted position, without requiring active involvement from healthcare personnel.
